In this study it was aimed to determine the effects of different culture media on in vitro regeneration capacity of shoot tips of Vittorio (a standard carnation variety). It was found that ratio of plant formation from shoot tips varied depending on the media. The highest mean shoot number per explant (5.97) were obtained from shoots cultured on medium added Kinetin (2.00 mgl-1) and NAA (0.02 mgl-1) (3), and then transferred NAA (0.02 mgl-1) and BAP (2.00 mgl-1) (4). The highest mean shoot length (3.65 cm) was obtained from shoots cultured on medium added BAP (2.00 mgl-1) and NAA (0.02 mgl-1) (4), and then transferred NAA (0.02 mgl-1) Kinetin (2.00 mgl-1) (3). Other criteria examined in this research was rooting percentage. In this respect the highest rooting percentage was obtained from shoots cultured on medium added NAA (0.02 mgl-1) and Kinetin (2.00 mgl-1) (3), and then transferred IBA (2.00 mgl-1) and BAP (0.01 mgl-1) (K1).
